Time of Event: 9:30am-2:00pm
Location: China Spring, TX (directions will be sent out at a later date)
Overview: Shooters will arrive at 9:30 for registration and a brief overview of the event. We will start shooting at 10:00 sharp. Shooters will shoot on CTO’s 5-Stand throwing system. Each registered participant gets to shoot a full round. A Round will consist of 10 warm-up shots and 25 competition shots. The shooter who hits the most competition clays wins a weekend stay at the Deer Run Lodge at Stillwater Refuge in Grapeland, TX. After everyone has shot their round, we will gather for an awards ceremony and a lunch. There will be some items up for silent auction as well as some door prizes.
Goals: The purpose of our first annual “Skeet Shoot” is three-fold. Our first goal is to have FUN! This will be the easy part! Second, we want to spread the word in the community about CTO opening in Waco. Shooters and other people who know about CTO could team up with or invite people who might be interested in hearing about this new ministry. Third, we want to raise funds to help us meet our support needs so that we can open our doors to young men in Waco. Participant entry fees will help cover the event. Additional funds will be raised through shooters finding people to sponsor them- either on a per clay basis or on a donation basis. Sponsorship will be the main way we meet our third goal.
Participants and Cost: Cost is $75 per Individual Shooter or $125 for 2 Shooters if one of them falls under goal #2 listed above. Participants will shoot as individuals, but may register as teams of 2 to get a better rate and to help spread the word. Space is limited to 25 total shooters.
